I have a splash guard in the bathtub, one of those plastic, and the caulk away from the Guard and the bathroom. What is the best way to fix it without scratching my bathtub, and tiles, which are new.

remove the caulking with a razor blade. wipe down the area with rubbing alchol and use a quailty silcon caulk to replace it
carefully remove all the caulking and clean the area with a little bit of rubbing alcohol, dry the area completely. let it dry completely or the caulking will not stick, wipe the surface again with a dry cloth to remove any reside after it dry’s, then apply a bead or new caulk
I don’t know about you but I hate splash guards. They are notorious for getting knocked loose and they just don’t look good. Plus they are a pain to work around and keep clean. Here’s a simple solution. When you first get in the shower, dribble just a little water down the wall where the shower curtain meets it at the faucet end of the tub. (Unless you get really rowdy or are having way too much fun in the tub you shouldn’t need to do the other end but you can if you like.) Then, using your hand like a squeegee, press about an inch or two of curtain against the wet area and it will seal from the top all the way to the bottom of the curtain providing a nice water tight seal against the wall. It might take you 3 seconds to do.
Unless you have an extremely stiff curtain or a seriously out of level tub, not a single drop of water will get out of the shower. The curtain will stay sealed against the wall until you pull it away. It can literally last for weeks if you don’t get in and out of that end of the tub. Remove the splash guard and scrap off the old caulk with a razor blade and you’ll never have to worry about it again.
Good Luck!
